Rotherham Occupational Health Advisory Service (ROHAS)

ROHAS is a specialist occupational health advice service for the people of Rotherham. ROHAS provides advice and support to those people with work related health conditions and helps to prevent ill-health in the workplace. Events such as illness can throw lives off course. Advice has an important positive impact on various aspects of people’s lives, such as health and wellbeing. Preventative advice is important to avoid ill-health in the first place. There is a lack of knowledge about diseases that are linked to patient’s occupations. Improving awareness of prescribed and reportable diseases and injuries not only helps to improve the quality of life of people with occupational diseases but also improves the quality of information on the incidence and prevalence of occupational diseases as a whole.
